Do TV Antennas Work?
So can you cut cable and keep basic TV for free? The only way to answer that is by asking “Do TV Antennas Work“…100% YES! About 2 months ago, before winter hit, I went down the path of installing a TV antenna. Depending on where you live this can be a really easy task or take some actual work. Either way don’t be discouraged I now have all the basic channels in HD for free! Screw those subscription fees.
Do you live in the city or outside the city, this is the first question you have to ask. Honestly if you live in the city I can give you a plan in roughly 30 seconds. Go onto Amazon, order the Mohu Leaf Antenna, and be amazed. That little square piece of composite/plastic was installed and working quicker than I ordered it.
So for the non-city folk, do TV antennas work? The answer is still yes, but with a little more work. Now that being said it’s still worth your time and effort. If you look at the next picture you’ll see, even with an uncomfortably steep roof, I got that bad boy installed. Below are the parts I ordered to make it work. In addition to that the pictures show one homemade trick one used.

So again the answer is 100%. I now have FOX, ABC, NBC, & CBS. It’s also worth noting I have a bunch of other random channels I’ll never really watch, but for some of you those may matter also. I can now watch football on Sundays, the evening news, and even some random TV shows. All of them are in HD and I have no cable or YouTube bill.
