Make Money Online With Craigslist
What you are doing with all the extra stuff laying around your home? That’s right look around for a moment, how many items are collecting dust around your house, apartment, or garage? Even if it’s not obvious at first, chances are you have cash just lying around. And most likely you paid good money for it quite some time ago, but now it’s useful life for you has past. Before tossing these items out to the trash or setting them on the curb, make money online with Craigslist.
Is It Worth My Time?
I’m always selling something on Craigslist and often I get a negative response when it comes up in conversation. The typical comments are as follows; “that’s a hassle, it’s not safe, and why would you waste your time”. Before debating any of those questions, let me summarize by saying over the past 6 months I have made $880 dollars. That’s right, ignore the masses, and make money online from my living room couch. How did I make that much? Below is a list of the items I departed with over the past 6 month.
- Coffee table $10
- Bicycle $250
- Full size bed $50
- Children’s bed guardrail $10
- Computer desk $70
- Kitchen table & 2 chairs $50
- Washer/Dryer $340
- Writing desk $100
Make Money Online
First off I realize this list consists mostly of furniture and I’d like to highlight that point. The beauty of Craigslist is that you can sell items of any shape, size, or weight. Yes to people’s point it is a hassle to schedule an exchange of goods for cash, but have you ever tried to ship items? It’s an even bigger hassle, always expensive, and nearly impossible to ship anything not made for a small box. For that reason I can’t recommend Craigslist enough compared to Ebay or Amazon. They are great backup options, but nothing beats cold hard cash in your hand without having to track down a shipping location.
And while it took me 6 months to earn this amount, I could of easily have done it faster. Time is money and often my mine is extremely limited. For that reason I spaced it out to keep some sanity. Also you have to pick and choose your battles. If you live in LA you can sell items in 24 hours, however if you’re in Nebraska it might take you a lot longer. And it’s worth noting selling a surf board in Montana might not be worth your time at all. But before you learn any of those lessons start listing your items. I guarantee you can make money online.
